Position:  Senior Android Developer

About the Role:
Responsibilities

1. Develop and deploy satellite-based crop classification models using multispectral, hyperspectral, and SAR datasets (Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, NISAR).

2. Design Earth Engine Python API workflows for cropland segmentation, sowing date estimation, acreage mapping, and in-season monitoring.

3. Implement geospatial analytics to support regenerative agriculture insights—soil health indicators, cover crop detection, residue mapping, water stress, and biodiversity metrics.

4. Build Python-based EO pipelines for large-scale agricultural monitoring (raster processing, zonal statistics, ML classification, time-series modeling).

5. Integrate outputs with downstream systems (dashboards, APIs, ML models) to support digital agronomy and sustainability reporting.

6. Maintain data quality, document methodologies, and support junior geospatial analysts.

7. Promote best practices in model development and code quality.

8. Translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate results to stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements:

• Master’s/PhD in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Agriculture Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, or related field.

• >5 years of experience in satellite analytics for agriculture (crop mapping, phenology, yield modeling, or sustainability metrics).
  Strong expertise in Google Earth Engine (JavaScript + Python API) for large-scale agricultural monitoring.

• Proficient in Python ( rasterio, geopandas, xarray, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow is a plus).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and geospatial databases (PostGIS)

• Strong foundations in ML for agriculture: supervised classification, segmentation, domain adaptation, or transfer learning.

• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend testing frameworks.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to optimize performance and user experience.

• Experience in deploying models at scale in a production environment.

• Understanding of responsible AI, bias mitigation, and explainability frameworks.

• Domain-specific experience in satellite imagery is a plus.

• Publications, open-source contributions, or patents in ML fields are desirable.
