Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure DevOps Lead to architect, implement, and optimize our end-to-end DevOps ecosystem on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Azure-native DevOps tooling, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, microservices, and managing high-availability production systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

Azure DevOps & Infrastructure Leadership

• Define and execute the Azure-focused DevOps strategy, including tooling, automation, and cloud-native practices.

• Lead, mentor, and scale the DevOps team while ensuring continuous improvement and best practices.

• Architect and maintain Azure-native CI/CD pipelines for microservices-based applications using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Manage and optimize Azure multi-region, high-availability, and high-performance environments.

Azure Cloud Architecture & Operations

• Design and administer production workloads across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps.

• Implement Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, deployments, and rollbacks across Azure environments.

• Establish observability through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and integration with Prometheus/Grafana.

Performance, Reliability & Security

• Ensure 24/7 uptime, reliability, and cost optimization across Azure services.

• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and monitoring for high-traffic, high-concurrency systems.

• Implement Azure-native DevSecOps practices including:

• Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Key Vault, RBAC, IAM, NSGs, ASGs, WAF, Firewall.

• Manage secure pipelines, vulnerability scanning, compliance controls, and network security.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure Azure systems are scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant.

• Support applications built in Node.js, Python, Machine Learning, and AI; exposure to LLMs is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of DevOps experience with minimum 4–5 years on Microsoft Azure.

• Strong expertise in Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts).

• Hands-on experience with:

  • AKS (mandatory)

  • Azure App Services

  • Azure Functions

  • Azure Container Registry (ACR)

  • Azure Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, Front Door, CDN

• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.

• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.

• Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell.

• Experience with monitoring & logging:

  • Azure Monitor, Application Insights

  • Log Analytics

  • Integration with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki

• Security & compliance experience:

  • Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender

  • IDS/IPS (OSSEC, Suricata, Snort)

  • Vulnerability scanners (Qualys, Nessus, OpenVAS)

  • Compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI-DSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (Highly Preferred)

  • AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert)

  • AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert)

  • AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)

• Exposure to SRE concepts and Azure reliability tools.

• Experience with serverless, event-driven architecture, and service mesh.
