1. Overview

The Manual Testing Trainee is responsible for executing manual testing activities to uncover defects in software applications. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong aptitude for detail and a passion for quality assurance.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of software applications according to test plans and specifications

• Identify and document defects using Jira or similar defect tracking tools

• Participate in test planning and execution meetings

• Collaborate with developers and project teams to ensure defects are resolved promptly

• Keep abreast of industry best practices and advancements in manual testing

3. Technical Skills

• Proficiency in manual testing principles and practices

• Knowledge of software testing lifecycle (STLC)

• Familiarity with test planning and management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana)

• Understanding of API testing

• Experience in cross-browser testing

4. Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
