Position : Project Manager – Regenerative Agriculture (Maize & Cotton)

Location : Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) or Jalgaon, Maharashtra

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a regenerative agriculture project focused on maize and cotton cropping systems. The role will oversee all aspects of project execution, team management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery across multiple

districts.

Roles and Responsibilities

● Oversee overall operations, ensuring timely implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project progress and outcomes.

● Train, mentor, and supervise district coordinators and field teams to achieve high-quality field execution.

● Lead program awareness campaigns, farmer mobilization, and lead generation for project participation.

● Identify and proactively address challenges on the ground to drive project success.

● Manage partnerships with NGOs, FPOs, service providers, and other key collaborators.

● Ensure timely deployment and smooth functioning of field equipment and implementation machinery.

● Engage regularly with government officials, departments, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives and compliance requirements.

● Represent the organization in major meetings, workshops, and public forums within the project area.

● Oversee feedback and grievance redressal mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability at the field level.

● Coordinate closely with agronomy, data, carbon, and impact teams to ensure alignment of field activities with broader project goals.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, or related fields.

● Minimum 5 years of experience in managing large-scale agriculture, rural development, or sustainability projects.

● Strong leadership experience, preferably having managed multi-district or multi-crop projects.

● Experience working directly with farmers, FPOs, NGOs, and government officials.

● Proven skills in people management, problem-solving, and field operations.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.

● Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite; familiarity with project management and reporting tools.

Preferred

● Experience in cotton and maize-based sustainable or regenerative agriculture projects.

● Familiarity with carbon project implementation, MRV processes, or certification frameworks.

● Strong understanding of farming systems in Maharashtra.
