Vietnamese Bilingual Expert - Remote

Role Overview

Contribute to a language and AI training project by evaluating Vietnamese audio and providing feedback that helps improve AI systems’ understanding and generation of spoken Vietnamese.

You will assess speech quality using your native-level language expertise. Previous AI experience is not required.

Compensation: $30–$65 per hour
Work Arrangement: Remote, contract

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Vietnamese audio clips for fluency, naturalness, and linguistic authenticity.

• Assess pronunciation and intonation against established evaluation guidelines.

• Identify linguistic nuances that affect the quality of spoken Vietnamese.

• Document assessments in clear, concise English, including the reasoning behind each evaluation.

• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements or resolve ambiguities.

• Provide insights that support improvements in Vietnamese language understanding and generation.

• Complete assigned reviews accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Vietnamese.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Strong listening skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to recognize nuanced differences in language and explain them clearly in English.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to follow guidelines and provide consistent, well-supported evaluations.

Preferred Background

Experience or training in linguistics, phonetics, voice specialization, music or audio engineering, audio analysis, transcription, or language assessment is an advantage. Backgrounds in media, communications, or teaching are also relevant.

Ideal Candidate

You are fluent in Vietnamese and can distinguish natural speech from language that sounds less fluent or authentic. You communicate your observations clearly, apply evaluation criteria consistently, and take a careful, analytical approach to audio review.
