About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Video Editor to evaluate AI-generated and human-edited video content for professional post-production quality. You will assess technical accuracy, visual consistency, storytelling, and compliance with project-specific editing guidelines.

This role combines advanced video editing expertise with quality assurance and AI training. You will identify editing defects, compare video outputs, document technical feedback, and help establish consistent evaluation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review video content for pacing, continuity, transitions, shot selection, storytelling, and visual consistency.

  • Perform technical quality assurance, identifying frame-rate inconsistencies, dropped frames, codec issues, color mismatches, audio synchronization problems, and compression artifacts.

  • Evaluate AI-generated videos for unnatural motion, visual artifacts, temporal inconsistencies, and editing defects.

  • Create expert-level editing scenarios, reference examples, and structured quality assessments for AI training.

  • Verify compliance with creative briefs, editing instructions, style guides, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria.

  • Document editing issues, explain their impact, and recommend appropriate corrections using professional terminology.

  • Support quality calibration and consistent evaluation standards across reviewers and production workflows.

  • Assess overall audiovisual coherence, professional storytelling, and technical delivery quality.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional video editing experience in film, television, broadcast, advertising, commercial production, digital media, or a related field.

  • Advanced proficiency in at least two non-linear editing systems, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

  • Strong understanding of editing fundamentals, including pacing, continuity, shot selection, narrative structure, transitions, visual composition, and storytelling.

  • Knowledge of video technical standards, including frame rates, resolutions, codecs, containers, aspect ratios, color spaces, export settings, and delivery specifications.

  • Experience with color correction, color grading, audio editing, synchronization, sound mixing, subtitles, captions, and motion graphics.

  • Ability to identify subtle editing defects and assess compliance with professional production standards.

  • Experience reviewing other editors’ work, conducting technical quality checks, providing structured feedback, or supervising post-production.

  • English proficiency at C1–C2 level, with the ability to understand complex instructions and communicate detailed written evaluations.

  • Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Avid Media Composer or Final Cut Pro.

  • Previous experience as a Lead Editor, Senior Video Editor, Post-Production Supervisor, or Quality Control Coordinator.

  • Familiarity with AI-generated video evaluation, AI data training, video annotation, multimedia quality assurance, or rubric-based assessment.

Portfolio Requirement

A professional video demo reel or portfolio is mandatory. Applicants must provide a working, accessible link demonstrating their editing capabilities. Commercial, broadcast, film, television, and advanced digital video projects are particularly relevant.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate: Up to $50, depending on the project terms.

  • Payment frequency: Weekly, once work is approved.

  • Flexible schedule: Set your own working hours.

  • Additional rewards: Referral bonuses may be available.

Interview and Work Arrangement

The selection process includes an interview. Successful candidates will work remotely on video quality evaluation and AI training projects, with the flexibility to manage their schedules across time zones.
