Contract · Remote · United States
Annual Compensation Equivalent: $104,000–$416,000/year
Hourly Rate: $50–$200/hour
Expected Commitment: 20–40 hours/week
This remote contract role is for advanced AI users who can evaluate how effectively AI assistants handle personalized, real-world tasks.
You will use your experience with large language models and AI tools to assess whether responses are genuinely useful, personalized, realistic, complete and appropriate for the situation. Your evaluations will help improve how AI systems handle practical, high-context tasks that depend on individual preferences, constraints, goals and tradeoffs.
The role is particularly suited to people who already use AI extensively in their everyday lives and can clearly explain why an AI response succeeds or falls short.
Evaluate AI responses to personalized, real-world life tasks
Assess whether an AI response appropriately understands context, preferences, constraints and goals
Judge responses for usefulness, accuracy, completeness, realism and practicality
Identify generic, incomplete, unrealistic or potentially unsafe recommendations
Compare different AI outputs and determine how well they address the task
Provide clear written reasoning explaining the strengths and weaknesses of AI responses
Evaluate multi-step AI workflows involving planning, research, decision-making and personal organization
Apply consistent judgment across a range of everyday personal scenarios
Tasks may involve areas such as:
Food and everyday planning
Health-related information and personal decisions
Productivity and organization
Career planning and professional development
Learning and research
Personal workflows and decision-making
The focus is on evaluating the quality of AI assistance rather than providing professional advice in these areas yourself.
Based in the United States
Extensive personal experience using AI assistants and LLM products
Experience using AI for multi-step tasks, planning, research, decision-making or personal workflows
Strong understanding of how to assess AI-generated responses critically
Ability to distinguish useful, personalized responses from generic or impractical ones
Strong written communication and reasoning skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and apply evaluation criteria consistently
Familiarity with tools such as the following is useful:
ChatGPT
Claude
Gemini
Perplexity
Cursor
Windsurf
Codex
Other AI agents and LLM-powered tools
Experience does not need to be limited to these products. The key requirement is substantial hands-on use of AI tools in personal workflows.
Strong performance means being able to:
Recognize when an AI response genuinely addresses a person's situation
Identify missing context, overlooked constraints and unrealistic assumptions
Explain why one response is more useful or complete than another without relying on vague judgments
Spot potentially unsafe or inappropriate recommendations
Evaluate multi-step reasoning and practical outcomes
Provide precise, actionable written feedback
Hourly rate: $50–$200/hour
Annual compensation equivalent: $104,000–$416,000 based on 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Expected commitment: 20–40 hours per week
Actual earnings depend on hours worked and available project assignments
Independent contractor engagement
Fully remote
Flexible schedule
Projects may be extended, shortened or concluded early depending on project requirements and performance
Payments are made weekly through Stripe or Wise based on services rendered
The work does not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client or institution
H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not currently supported
