About the Role

This contract role focuses on evaluating and improving household financial workflows, personal finance guidance, and advisory processes for Canadian consumers.

You will apply professional knowledge of Canadian personal finance, registered accounts, mortgages, savings strategies, and personal tax filing to complete realistic financial workflows, evaluate AI-generated guidance, interpret financial documentation, and help develop rigorous evaluation criteria.

No prior experience in AI is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete authentic personal finance workflow tasks using securely linked Canadian bank accounts, with personal information redacted before downstream use.

  • Apply professional judgment to Canadian personal finance topics, including RRSPs, TFSAs, FHSAs, mortgages, savings plans, and CRA personal tax filing.

  • Provide clear written explanations of financial decisions, processes, and outcomes.

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated financial guidance against established rubrics.

  • Identify inaccuracies, omissions, inconsistencies, and other issues in financial guidance and provide concise, constructive feedback.

  • Verify and interpret financial documentation related to registered accounts, tax deadlines, household finances, and personal financial decisions.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of evaluation rubrics and grading criteria for complex personal finance topics.

  • Stay current with relevant changes to Canadian tax rules, registered account requirements, savings regulations, and related financial guidance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Canadian banking, wealth management, financial advising, accounting, tax planning, or a closely related field.

  • Active Canadian professional credentials such as CFP, QAFP, CIM, PFP, or CPA.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian household finance, including registered accounts, mortgages, savings, and personal taxation.

  • Strong financial document handling and interpretation skills.

  • Experience evaluating complex financial information against structured rubrics or criteria.

  • Ability to develop or refine assessment guidelines, rubrics, and scoring criteria.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical financial concepts clearly to different audiences.

  • Strong analytical judgment and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with AI model evaluation, output review, or AI training projects is advantageous but not required.

  • Professional designations such as CFA or CTP are an additional advantage.

  • Comfort securely connecting Canadian personal bank accounts through supported financial data connections, with all personally identifiable information redacted before use.
