We are seeking Mechanical Engineers and related engineering professionals with at least 2 years of experience to review and annotate video involving robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, machines, and physical tasks.
You’ll apply mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and label objects, movements, actions, component behavior, and mechanical interactions within video content. Your technical judgment will help ensure annotations accurately represent real-world mechanical systems and physical processes.
No prior AI experience is required. Your mechanical engineering expertise and attention to technical detail are the primary qualifications.
Review videos showing robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, machines, and physical tasks.
Annotate and label objects, movements, actions, components, and mechanical interactions within video content.
Identify mechanical details such as motion, positioning, component behavior, and task sequences.
Review video annotations for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to identify incorrect, incomplete, or unclear annotations.
Follow established annotation guidelines and project standards carefully.
Provide feedback on ambiguous or technically complex video examples.
Work independently to complete assigned annotation tasks within project timelines.
2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Robotics, or a related field.
Good understanding of mechanical components, tools, machines, and physical systems.
Ability to understand and interpret how mechanical parts and systems move and interact.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in video content.
Good written English and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
Ability to work independently and maintain consistent annotation quality.
Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA.
Exposure to robotics, automation, manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
Previous experience with video annotation, data labeling, AI training, or computer vision projects is a plus but not required.
Contractor engagement.
Remote work.
$50–$90 per hour.
Annual compensation equivalent of $96,000–$172,800 based on 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks. This is an annualized full-time equivalent and does not represent guaranteed annual earnings.
