  • Assess workflow accuracy, completeness, and user experience.

  • Compare system-generated outputs against real-world tax documents and scenarios.

  • Review and annotate tax-related documents with close attention to detail.

  • Connect relevant personal financial accounts through secure Plaid login for project-specific workflow evaluation.

  • Connect personal Gmail and Google Drive where required for workflow reviews and document sharing.

  • Provide relevant tax documents for project purposes, with downstream use occurring after personally identifiable information has been sanitized.

  • Communicate findings through clear written and verbal feedback.

  • Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators.

  • Provide timely updates on assigned deliverables.

  • Follow structured digital workflows using Google Workspace and related tools.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently residing in a mainland U.S. state.

  • Available to start immediately.

  • Strong financial literacy.

  • Hands-on experience filing 2025 U.S. federal taxes, either independently or with assistance from a CPA or tax professional.

  • Comfortable reviewing and annotating financial and tax-related documents.

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.

  • Ability to apply structured evaluation criteria and rubrics objectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and other Google Workspace tools.

  • Comfortable following digital workflows and detailed project instructions.

  • Willingness and ability to securely connect the required personal accounts and provide project-specific documents.

Relevant Experience

Experience in the following areas may be relevant:

  • U.S. individual tax filing

  • Tax document review

  • Tax workflow evaluation

  • Financial process review

  • Data annotation

Prior experience with AI training or evaluation is helpful but not required.

Data & Account Access Requirements

This project involves hands-on evaluation of real-world U.S. tax and financial workflows. Participation may require securely connecting personal Gmail, Google Drive, and financial accounts through the designated project workflow.

You may also be asked to provide relevant tax documents for evaluation. Downstream use of submitted documents occurs after personally identifiable information has been sanitized.

You should only participate if you are comfortable completing these account-connection and document-sharing requirements as part of the project.

What Success Looks Like

Successful contributors will consistently apply the evaluation rubric, identify inaccuracies or gaps, compare outputs against real-world tax scenarios, and communicate findings clearly.

Accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured workflows are central to the work.
