Job Description: Sales Engineer – Pneumatics 

1. Position Overview 

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and promoting pneumatic products and solutions such as cylinders, valves, FRL units, and automation components. The role requires strong technical understanding combined with field sales capability.

3. Key Responsibilities 

A. Sales & Business Development 

● Identify new customers in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, packaging, pharma, etc. 

● Generate leads and convert them into business opportunities. 

● Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets. 

● Conduct client visits, product presentations, and demonstrations. 

● Support dealer/distributor network in assigned territory. 

B. Technical Sales Support 

● Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable pneumatic solutions. ● Assist in selection of cylinders, valves, FRL units, fittings, tubings etc. ● Provide basic troubleshooting support at customer sites. 

● Coordinate with the internal technical team for complex applications. 

C. Customer Relationship Management 

● Maintain strong relationships with existing customers. 

● Ensure repeat orders and long-term engagement. 

● Handle customer queries and support requirements. 

● Ensure timely follow-ups on inquiries and quotations. 

D. Coordination & Reporting 

● Work closely with the Backend team. 

● Maintain daily/weekly sales reports. 

● Update CRM or sales tracking system regularly.

● Provide market feedback and competitor insights. 

4. Product Knowledge Required 

● Pneumatic Cylinders (Standard, Compact, ISO types) 

● Solenoid Valves & Valve Manifolds 

● FRL Units (Filter, Regulator, Lubricator) 

● Pneumatic Fittings & Tubing 

● Basic knowledge of automation systems 

5. Educational Qualification 

● Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in: 

○ Mechanical Engineering 

○ Mechatronics 

○ Industrial Engineering 

6. Experience Required 

● 1–5 years in industrial sales / pneumatic / automation / engineering products ● Freshers with strong technical aptitude may also be considered 

7. Skills & Competencies 

Technical Skills 

● Basic understanding of pneumatic systems 

● Ability to read technical specifications and drawings 

● Application-based product selection 

Sales Skills 

● Lead generation and conversion 

● Negotiation and communication skills

● Customer handling and follow-up discipline 

Soft Skills 

● Good communication skills (Hindi + English + native preferred) ● Self-motivated and target-oriented 

● Willingness to travel extensively
