Position Overview

Mediaguru is looking for an experienced AI Lead Engineer to design, build, and lead next-generation AI systems focused on LLM Optimization (LLMO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). This role involves end-to-end ownership of AI product development, from concept to production, while building scalable, agent-driven systems that enhance brand visibility across AI-powered platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Product Architecture & Ownership

• Design and lead end-to-end AI architecture for LLMO and AEO use cases

• Own the full product lifecycle from concept to scale

• Translate business requirements into scalable AI workflows and system design

• Define pipelines for data ingestion, processing, embedding, retrieval, and generation

• Make architectural decisions focused on scalability, performance, and cost

2. LLM Optimization (LLMO)

• Implement advanced prompt engineering and context optimization strategies

• Optimize systems for accuracy, latency, and token efficiency

• Design and improve RAG pipelines for better grounding and reliability

3. Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)

• Build systems to improve brand visibility in AI-generated responses

• Develop structured content pipelines and semantic alignment strategies

• Integrate knowledge graphs and optimize for intent-driven discoverability

• Define AI-first discoverability frameworks beyond traditional SEO

4. Agentic Workflow & Orchestration

• Design and implement multi-agent systems

• Build workflows using LangChain / LangGraph or similar frameworks

• Develop task-planning, tool-using, and memory-enabled agents

• Handle orchestration, communication, retries, and failure handling

5. Research, Strategy & Innovation

• Stay updated with advancements in LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI ecosystems

• Evaluate and prototype new tools and models

• Convert research into production-ready implementations

• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap decisions

6. System Integration & Development

• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Google, etc.) into scalable systems

• Build APIs using FastAPI or Django

• Work with vector databases such as Pinecone and Weaviate

• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and observability

7. Team Leadership & Product Ownership

• Lead and mentor AI and backend engineers

• Drive architectural decisions and technical reviews

• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders

• Ensure timely delivery of production-ready systems

• Take ownership of overall product success

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or AI product development

• Strong understanding of LLMs, embeddings, and RAG pipelines

• Expertise in prompt engineering and LLM optimization (LLMO)

• Experience with agentic workflows and orchestration

• Hands-on experience with Python

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks

• Experience working with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate)

• Strong system design and microservices architecture knowledge

Good to Have

• Experience in SEO to AEO transition strategies

• Exposure to multimodal AI (text, video, audio)

• Experience with LLM observability, tracing, and evaluation frameworks

• Knowledge of cost optimization for large-scale AI systems
