Position Overview

IVP is looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable microservices. The role involves working on high-performance distributed systems, optimizing backend workflows, and ensuring system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js and JavaScript

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable backend code

2. Node.js Runtime Expertise

• Work with core Node.js concepts such as Event Loop, Event Emitters, Async/Await, and Streams

• Handle complex backend workflows and optimize asynchronous operations

3. Database & ORM/ODM Management

• Utilize Sequelize and Mongoose for efficient data handling

• Write optimized queries, manage joins/aggregations, and ensure data integrity

4. System Design & Scalability

• Design and implement scalable multi-tenant architectures

• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data isolation

5. Debugging & Performance Optimization

• Debug, profile, and optimize distributed systems

• Implement logging, monitoring, and proper error handling

6. Infrastructure & CI/CD (Preferred)

• Deploy and manage microservices in Kubernetes (EKS) environments

• Work with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

7. Frontend Awareness (Optional)

• Basic understanding of React for end-to-end data flow

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Node.js backend development

• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture

• Deep knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven systems

• Hands-on experience with Sequelize and Mongoose

• Experience with REST API development and distributed systems

Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized deployments

• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps

• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React
