🔷 Position Overview

IVP is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Monitoring Engineer to join its IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring infrastructure health, managing alerts, and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted system performance by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

🔷 Key Responsibilities

1. Alert Monitoring & Triage

• Monitor infrastructure alerts using tools like Nagios and Site24x7

• Perform initial analysis to determine severity and business impact

2. Incident Escalation

• Classify and escalate incidents based on priority and SLA guidelines

• Coordinate with teams such as Network, Database, Application, and Infrastructure

3. Communication & Coordination

• Act as the first point of contact for alert notifications

• Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders for quick resolution

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Log incidents and actions in Zendesk

• Generate daily/weekly reports on alerts, trends, and resolutions

5. Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

• Work with technical teams to identify root causes of recurring issues

• Support implementation of preventive and corrective measures

6. Continuous Improvement

• Suggest enhancements to monitoring tools and processes

• Reduce false positives and improve operational efficiency

Eligibility Criteria

• 1 to 4 years of experience in IT Support / Monitoring / Infrastructure roles

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
