Role Objective

To manage daily kitchen operations efficiently, ensuring consistent preparation of high-quality food, maintaining hygiene standards, optimizing staff productivity, and delivering timely service in line with brand standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Operations Management

  • Oversee smooth day-to-day kitchen operations

  • Ensure food preparation and presentation as per SOPs

  • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and quality

  • Ensure timely order execution and control kitchen process time (KPT)

2. Team Management

  • Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff

  • Conduct daily briefings and team meetings

  • Prepare staff schedules and duty rosters

  • Monitor staff performance, discipline, and productivity

3. Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the kitchen

  • Implement FIFO practices for inventory

  • Monitor storage conditions and control expired/stale items

4. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely ordering

  • Control food cost, wastage, and variance

  • Maintain inventory records and closing procedures

  • Ensure proper documentation of supplies and usage


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation

  • Experience in inventory management and cost control

  • Good understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI)

  • Team handling and leadership skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and organizational skills


Preferred Background

  • Experience in QSR / Casual Dining / Restaurant Industry

  • Prior experience as Kitchen Manager / Kitchen Supervisor
