Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead our field service operations.
Based in Mumbai, this role will also oversee service delivery and team management across Goa,
Karnataka, and other regions of Maharashtra. The candidate must have strong technical experience
in VRF systems, ducted units, AHUs, and split systems, along with proven capabilities in managing
large service teams and driving customer-centric results.
This leadership role will also carry revenue responsibilities for retrofit opportunities and ensure
timely recovery of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a large field service team spread across Mumbai, Goa, Karnataka, and
Maharashtra.
- Drive service excellence by ensuring timely resolution of complaints, preventive maintenance
adherence, and high customer satisfaction.
- Conduct technical training sessions for service staff on VRF, ducted, AHU, and split systems to
enhance skill levels.
- Engage with key clients, handle escalations, and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the procurement and stores teams to ensure the availability of spares and critical
materials. - Identify and convert retrofit opportunities, work with the sales and estimation teams to close these
projects.
- Ensure accurate billing and timely recovery of payments related to service and retrofit activities.
- Track and report KPIs for service delivery, revenue, customer feedback, and team performance.
- Work across departments to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and streamline
processes.
- Implement and enforce safety and quality compliance across all service jobs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in HVAC service operations, with team leadership responsibilities.
- Technical expertise in servicing and troubleshooting VRF, ducted, AHU, and split-type systems.
- Proven experience managing geographically distributed service teams.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to manage high-value corporate relationships.
- Candidates with work experience in the Middle east will be given a preference
IT and Digital Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of CRM and service management tools.
- Experience with ERP or any standard business software is preferred.
