Job Title: Junior Architect – BIPV & Green Buildings

Location: Vidyavihar, Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (relevant experience)


About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Architect with hands-on experience in green building certifications and a strong interest in sustainable design. The role involves working on Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) design as well as green building certification projects across commercial and institutional developments.


Key Responsibilities

1. BIPV Design & Coordination

● Assist in design development of BIPV systems (facades, skylights, roofs, etc.)

● Coordinate with structural, electrical, and façade consultants

● Prepare drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation

● Support site teams during execution and installation stages

2. Green Building Certification

● Work on projects pursuing IGBC / LEED / GRIHA certifications

● Prepare documentation, calculations, and submissions

● Coordinate with clients, consultants, and certification bodies

● Track project compliance and timelines

3. Design & Documentation

● Develop architectural drawings and presentations

● Conduct site analysis with sustainability considerations

● Integrate passive design strategies into projects


Required Skills & Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

● Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in:

○ Green building certification projects (IGBC / LEED / GRIHA)

○ Sustainable design practices

● Basic understanding of solar/BIPV systems (or willingness to learn quickly)

● Proficiency in:

○ AutoCAD (mandatory)

○ SketchUp / Revit (preferred)

○ MS Excel (for calculations & documentation)

● Strong coordination and communication skills

● Ability to handle multiple projects without falling apart


Good to Have (Not Mandatory, but impressive if you have it)

● Accredited Professional (IGBC AP / LEED AP)

● Experience working on façade systems or solar integration

● Exposure to energy modelling tools (e.g., eQuest, DesignBuilder)
