The Budgeting Manager is responsible for overseeing the budgeting processes across projects, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams and upper management to align budgets with organizational goals and support the successful execution of projects within financial parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain budgeting processes for various projects within the organization.
Prepare detailed budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.
Analyze budget variances and provide accurate reporting to senior management on fiscal performance and budget adherence.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to assess and estimate costs for upcoming projects and adjustments to existing budgets.
Conduct financial modeling to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor expenditures, maintaining strict compliance with budgetary constraints and corporate policies.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing budget performance and projections.
Lead budgeting meetings and workshops to communicate financial strategies and gather input from project teams.
Ensure continuous improvement in budgeting practices and systems, implementing best practices in financial management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, cost accounting, and financial modeling techniques.
Familiarity with project management software and tools to track project budgets and expenditures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in budgeting, financial management, or a related field, preferably in the construction or civil sector.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or similar) is a plus.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in budgeting and estimating within construction or civil projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
