About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Associate QA Test Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing concepts, excellent analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn modern testing practices.

As an Associate QA Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating web and mobile applications, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with developers and business teams to deliver reliable software solutions. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are eager to build a career in software testing and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and functional specifications.

• Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.

• Perform Manual Testing on web and mobile applications.

• Conduct Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.

• Validate APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools.

• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.

• Participate in requirement analysis and QA review meetings.

• Ensure applications meet quality standards before production release.

• Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities when required.

• Learn and adapt to automation testing tools and frameworks over time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with API Testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Understanding of Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Functional Testing.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or academic project experience in software testing is an added advantage.

• Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is preferred.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology is beneficial.

• Knowledge of tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or TestRail is a plus.
