Are you an experienced radiologist interested in advancing artificial intelligence in medical imaging? This remote contractor opportunity allows qualified radiology specialists to apply their clinical expertise to AI training, diagnostic reasoning evaluation, and medical-imaging content development.
You will assess AI-generated radiology responses for clinical accuracy, reasoning quality, clarity, safety, and adherence to instructions. You may also develop expert-level imaging prompts and reference answers that demonstrate sound clinical judgment and evidence-based decision-making.
Your expertise will help improve how AI systems reason about imaging selection, diagnostic differentials, radiology reporting, and patient-safety considerations.
Project availability notice: There is no immediate project assignment for this role. Qualified experts may be contacted first when relevant opportunities become available and may gain access to future projects through the expert network.
Develop expert training content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard answers covering imaging appropriateness, protocol selection, differential diagnosis, and radiology reporting.
Evaluate AI-generated responses: Review, compare, and rank outputs based on clinical correctness, reasoning quality, clarity, safety, and contextual relevance.
Assess diagnostic reasoning: Evaluate the relationship between clinical presentation, imaging modality, findings, impression, and recommended next steps.
Identify clinical and safety risks: Flag missed critical diagnoses, unsupported conclusions, inappropriate imaging recommendations, and misleading explanations.
Verify imaging recommendations: Assess modality selection, protocol suitability, diagnostic limitations, sensitivity and specificity, and potential artifacts.
Evaluate patient-safety considerations: Review contrast-related risks, renal function, pregnancy considerations, radiation exposure, and relevant procedural risks.
Improve model reliability: Identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and potential biases across patient populations and clinical scenarios.
Provide structured feedback: Document precise, evidence-based explanations that help improve AI performance and clinical reliability.
MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
Completed Diagnostic Radiology residency and board eligibility or certification, or the relevant local equivalent.
At least five years of professional radiology experience in academic, community, teleradiology, or subspecialty practice.
Strong clinical reasoning skills, including translating clinical presentations into appropriate imaging strategies and prioritizing differential diagnoses using imaging findings and clinical context.
Deep understanding of imaging modalities, their diagnostic tradeoffs, limitations, artifacts, and protocol implications.
Sound judgment regarding contrast reactions, nephrotoxicity risks, pregnancy, radiation-dose principles, and procedure-related risks.
Exceptional attention to detail when identifying unsupported assumptions, missed critical diagnoses, and unsafe or misleading clinical explanations.
English proficiency at a minimum C1 level.
Ability to assess clinical consistency, imaging appropriateness, and patient-safety implications across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain consistent quality in a remote contractor environment.
AI data training, annotation, or model evaluation.
Radiology report quality assurance and peer review.
Utilization management or imaging appropriateness review.
Medical writing, editorial review, or evidence-based clinical content development.
Diagnostic radiology, clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, imaging appropriateness, CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, imaging protocols, contrast safety, radiation safety, incidental findings, evidence-based imaging, diagnostic interpretation, patient safety, medical fact-checking, and English-language clinical communication.
Work arrangement: Remote, independent contractor.
Compensation: Up to $120 per hour.
Schedule: Flexible, with work arranged around available projects and requirements.
Payment: Weekly payment for approved work, according to the applicable project terms.
Interview: Required; conducted in English.
Availability: No immediate project is available. Qualified candidates may be considered for future assignments through the expert network.
The annualized compensation equivalent of up to $230,400 is based on 1,920 hours per year. It is not a salary offer or a promise of continuous work.
Apply your diagnostic imaging expertise beyond traditional clinical practice by helping shape how AI systems interpret medical information, evaluate imaging decisions, and communicate clinically sound explanations. This opportunity combines specialist knowledge, flexible remote work, and meaningful contributions to the development of more reliable healthcare AI.
Qualified radiologists can apply to be considered for the expert network. An interview is required, and relevant opportunities may be offered when suitable projects become available.
