We are seeking experienced Family Medicine Hospitalist Physicians to contribute their broad clinical expertise to an AI training and evaluation project focused on inpatient care and medical documentation standards.
You’ll review inpatient medical records, verify that clinical information is supported by documentation, and identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent details. Your understanding of family medicine and hospital workflows will help improve how AI systems interpret clinical records across a range of patient populations and care needs.
Prior AI experience is not specified as a requirement; the focus is on your clinical knowledge, documentation expertise, and ability to apply review guidelines consistently.
Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training and evaluation.
Verify that clinical information and claims are supported by the underlying medical record.
Review inpatient documentation, including history of present illness (HPI), past medical history (PMH), assessments, and plans.
Apply established review guidelines consistently across clinical records.
Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information in medical documentation.
Provide structured feedback to improve AI models and data quality.
Communicate findings and documentation concerns clearly to the project team.
MD or DO degree.
Board certification in Family Medicine, or Family Medicine with a Hospital Medicine focus or certification.
At least 5 years of hospitalist experience.
Current or recent inpatient/hospitalist experience within the last 2 years.
Strong understanding of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows.
Experience reviewing clinical notes and raw medical record data.
Strong attention to detail and ability to apply defined guidelines consistently.
Experience with chart review, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), utilization review, or medical coding and quality assurance (QA).
Experience across a broad patient population, including:
Adult medicine.
Geriatrics.
Pediatrics.
Obstetric and newborn care.
Familiarity with inpatient workflows, including admissions, daily progress notes, transitions of care, and discharge documentation.
Family medicine’s cross-population training is particularly relevant to reviewing records involving varied patient needs and clinical presentations.
Role type: Independent Contractor
Work arrangement: Remote
Openings: 50
Payment structure: Output-based, with payment for tasks that meet project specifications.
Submission requirements: Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks per week.
The listed hourly rate is provided for reference. Because payment is output-based and task completion times may vary, the annualized equivalent is an estimate rather than guaranteed salary or earnings.
Apply your family medicine and inpatient care expertise to help improve AI systems that interpret medical records and clinical documentation. Your broad clinical perspective can help identify documentation gaps and inconsistencies across patient populations, supporting more reliable AI training and evaluation.
