IT Software Quality Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced IT Software Quality Engineer to drive quality assurance activities across complex data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based ecosystems. This role requires a strong combination of manual testing, advanced SQL, ETL/Data testing, data reconciliation, API testing, and cloud data-platform testing. The successful candidate will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality data releases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end testing of ETL and data workflows, validating data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

• Analyze business and technical requirements; develop detailed test scenarios, cases, and strategies.

• Write and execute advanced SQL queries to validate joins, aggregations, transformations, and business rules.

• Develop and maintain automated data‑validation solutions using Python, PySpark, and Pandas.

• Test data pipelines built on Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Gen2.

• Perform API and integration testing with Postman and other tools, ensuring data integrity across services.

• Manage defect lifecycle, log detailed defects, prioritize impact, and collaborate on resolution.

• Track testing progress, report status, and communicate risks to stakeholders.

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ETL and data testing.

• Advanced SQL skills and experience with data validation and reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Python for test automation (PySpark, Pandas).

• Hands‑on experience with Azure data services (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake).

• Strong manual testing experience and knowledge of Agile development environments.

• Experience managing the full defect lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI/reporting validation.

• Big Data testing experience.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
