About the Role

We are looking for experienced Technical Writing Specialists to contribute to a writing-intensive project focused on developer and product documentation.

In this role, you will apply your technical writing expertise to analyze complex technical materials, create and refine documentation, structure information effectively, and communicate technical concepts clearly to different audiences. Your work will also contribute to training and evaluating next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world professional input.

No prior AI experience is required. Your technical writing expertise is what matters.

What You’ll Do

Technical Documentation

• Analyze and interpret source technical materials, including API references, developer guides, and release notes.

• Produce well-structured and effective technical documentation.

• Create and edit guides, tutorials, architecture documents, and other technical content.

• Clarify complex technical topics for audiences ranging from developers to business stakeholders.

Information Architecture

• Apply information architecture best practices to organize and present documentation.

• Structure documentation for ease of use, discoverability, and scalability.

• Evaluate how information is organized and presented across documentation sets.

Docs-as-Code & Editorial Standards

• Work with docs-as-code standards and workflows.

• Apply style guides and editorial guidelines consistently across deliverables.

• Maintain consistency in terminology, structure, grammar, and overall documentation quality.

Documentation Evaluation & Improvement

• Evaluate existing documentation for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.

• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.

• Recommend and implement improvements where necessary.

• Maintain a high standard of quality across documentation deliverables.

Technical Communication

• Clearly explain documentation decisions, trade-offs, and reasoning.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborators through written narratives.

• Synthesize complex technical concepts and present them in clear, concise language suitable for varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience producing developer or product documentation, including API documentation, integration guides, onboarding materials, tutorials, or release notes.

• Expertise in technical writing, information architecture, and editing for mixed technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex concepts and communicate them simply and concisely.

• Proficiency with docs-as-code workflows, including Markdown, Git, and CI/CD.

• Experience applying style guides such as Microsoft, Google, or custom organizational guidelines.

• Exceptional written English with strong attention to grammar, structure, and terminology.

• Experience owning the structure, quality, and strategy of end-to-end documentation sets.

• Background with leading universities or highly regarded organizations is especially valued.
