About the Role

We are looking for experienced Software Engineering Specialists to contribute technical expertise to a high-impact project focused on technical analysis, engineering documentation, and the evaluation of real-world software engineering work.

In this role, you will apply your engineering experience to analyze technical decisions, evaluate code and system designs, conduct structured code reviews, assess debugging scenarios, and produce high-quality technical documentation. Your expertise will also contribute to training and evaluating next-generation AI systems through high-quality professional input.

No prior AI experience is required. Your software engineering expertise is what matters.

What You’ll Do

System Design & Technical Analysis

• Analyze and articulate the rationale behind technical decisions.

• Provide detailed explanations of system design considerations and engineering trade-offs.

• Evaluate technical approaches and explain their strengths, limitations, and implications.

Code & Architecture Review

• Evaluate code samples and architectural proposals.

• Provide expert-level written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and potential improvements.

• Conduct structured code reviews using clear and technically sound reasoning.

Technical Documentation

• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including RFCs, ADRs, and design specifications.

• Clearly document engineering approaches, decisions, trade-offs, and their underlying rationale.

• Translate technical reasoning into structured documentation that can be understood and evaluated effectively.

Debugging & Problem Solving

• Analyze real-world debugging scenarios.

• Outline step-by-step reasoning when diagnosing software engineering challenges.

• Recommend technically appropriate solutions and improvements.

Testing & Performance

• Develop clear, actionable automation testing strategies.

• Produce performance analysis reports.

• Identify best practices, potential performance issues, and areas for optimization.

• Apply performance and trade-off analysis methodologies to engineering scenarios.

Technical Communication

• Translate complex engineering concepts into concise, accessible language.

• Communicate intricate technical topics clearly and persuasively in written English.

• Deliver detailed technical feedback suitable for a broad audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience delivering production-grade software using a modern technology stack.

• Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, including RFCs, ADRs, design documentation, or substantial code review commentary.

• Strong analytical skills in system design, performance evaluation, and debugging real-world software challenges.

• Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and persuasively in written English.

• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and performance and trade-off analysis methodologies.

• Experience collaborating with or contributing to leading organizations or well-regarded academic institutions.

• Strong motivation to apply both deep engineering knowledge and sophisticated technical writing skills.
