About the Role

We are looking for experienced Design & Frontend Specialists with expertise spanning product design, UX research, UI/visual design, design systems, and frontend engineering.

In this role, you will provide high-impact written analysis and professional insights across design and frontend engineering. You’ll apply your expertise to explain the reasoning behind design and technical decisions, evaluate trade-offs and constraints, synthesize complex information, and produce clear, structured written deliverables.

Your work will contribute to training and evaluating next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world professional input.

No prior AI experience is required. Your domain expertise is what matters.

This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals who excel at explaining the “why” behind design and technical decisions and who can turn complex research, design, and engineering concepts into thoughtful, actionable written analysis.

What You’ll Do

Design & Technical Analysis

• Analyze product and design challenges and articulate decision-making rationales in clear, structured written English.

• Critically assess design and engineering approaches.

• Document the advantages, disadvantages, constraints, and strategic implications of different approaches.

• Explain technical and design decisions in a way that can be understood by varied audiences.

Design Documentation & Technical Writing

• Draft, review, and refine design documents, usability reports, research summaries, RFCs, ADRs, and related analytical materials.

• Produce high-quality written deliverables that clearly document design and technical reasoning.

• Communicate complex concepts with precision, structure, and attention to detail.

Research & Synthesis

• Analyze and synthesize complex design and technical information.

• Produce detailed reports on user research findings.

• Identify key insights and translate research findings into actionable recommendations.

• Organize complex or nuanced information into accessible content tailored to diverse audiences.

Design Systems & Frontend Architecture

• Evaluate and write about design systems, particularly Figma workflows.

• Assess accessibility considerations and best practices.

• Analyze frontend architecture and technical trade-offs.

• Apply knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable frontend technologies when evaluating technical approaches.

Trade-Off Analysis

• Evaluate design and engineering alternatives.

• Analyze trade-offs, constraints, user impact, and strategic implications.

• Clearly articulate and justify technical or design decisions through written analysis.

Structured Reviews & Expert Feedback

• Participate in structured reviews of submitted project artifacts.

• Provide expert commentary and constructive feedback.

• Evaluate project materials using professional design, UX, and frontend engineering judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in product design, UX, UI/visual design, or frontend engineering.

• Frontend engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable frameworks.

• Demonstrated expertise producing high-quality written deliverables, including design documents, case studies, design system documentation, usability reports, RFCs, or ADRs.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex or nuanced information.

• Proficiency with Figma and contemporary design systems.

• Deep familiarity with accessibility best practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in analytical writing.

• Experience articulating and justifying technical or design trade-offs in written form for stakeholders.

• Background with leading universities or highly regarded organizations is especially valued.
