Business Analyst (Finance)

Remote | Contract | Flexible, 10–30 hours/week | ~1 month, with potential extension

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Finance Professionals with strong analytical skills and practical expertise across areas such as corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, FP&A, private equity, venture capital, asset management, or financial consulting.

You will apply your finance expertise to evaluate AI-generated outputs, develop structured assessments, and help improve how AI systems handle complex financial problems. No prior AI experience is required.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reasoning, relevance, and quality across finance-related tasks.

• Identify gaps, errors, and areas where models require improvement.

• Develop structured rubrics and assessment criteria for specialized financial scenarios.

• Design and evaluate tasks involving areas such as deal analysis, M&A, investment decisions, financial analysis, and risk assessment.

• Collaborate with researchers and other finance professionals to develop evaluation strategies and benchmarks.

• Apply real-world financial knowledge to assess complex business and investment scenarios.

• Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, FP&A, accounting, financial consulting, or a related finance field.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts within your area of expertise.

• Knowledge of areas such as corporate finance, investment analysis, asset management, risk management, or financial modeling.

• CFA Level I, II, or III cleared, CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance is preferred.

• Candidates with strong relevant professional experience and training will also be considered.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to evaluate complex financial information objectively and explain conclusions clearly.
