Overview:
The SAP Forecasting and Replenishment Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing supply chain management through the strategic forecasting of product demand and the efficient management of inventory replenishment. This position aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels by utilizing advanced SAP tools and analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that forecasting processes support business objectives and provide insightful data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain forecasting models using SAP Forecasting and Replenishment tools.
Analyze historical sales data to identify trends, patterns, and potential improvements in forecasting accuracy.
Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to gather inputs and align forecasts with business strategies.
Monitor and adjust replenishment strategies based on forecast variances and market demand changes.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, forecast accuracy, and demand planning metrics for stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analyses for discrepancies and implement corrective actions to enhance forecasting precision.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to SAP and predictive analytics.
Provide training and support to teams on SAP forecasting tools and methodologies as needed.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SAP Forecasting and Replenishment modules, including experience with configuration and optimization.
Strong understanding of SAP HANA and its applications in data analytics and reporting.
Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and demand planning techniques.
Familiarity with data visualization tools to present forecasts and performance measures effectively.
Experience with SQL or similar query languages for data extraction and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related area with a focus on SAP tools.
Certification in SAP modules (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA for Embedded Analytics) is a plus.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience working directly with SAP Forecasting, including development, management, and optimization of demand planning processes.
In-depth understanding of SAP HANA and its role in enhancing forecasting capabilities and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate forecasting concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
