Experience and Background
8+ years of experience as a Workday Functional Consultant, including at least 2 full lifecycle Workday implementations.
Strong understanding of Workday HCM data architecture and business process framework.
Expertise across Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Absence Management, Learning, Payroll Interfaces, Time Tracking, and Business Process Configuration.
Candidate should have a deep understanding of Workday’s functional architecture and the ability to configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Implementation.
Proficient in Workday reporting, calculated fields, and condition rules.
Workday certifications in HCM functional areas are highly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior consultants, and manage functional workstreams independently.
Ability to grasp new business areas quickly and willingly, adaptability to new challenges
Exposure to any incident management tool viz CA Service Desk, Service NOW, JIRA, Freshworks etc. is preferable.
Experience with Zuora, Kantata or other enterprise billing/ERP platforms
Core Responsibilities
Functions as the HCM administrator for modules Like Core HCM, Absence Management, Learning, Payroll Interfaces, Time Tracking and Business Process Configuration.
Lead the functional analysis, design, and configuration of Workday HCM modules to meet evolving business requirements.
Design and optimize Workday business processes, security roles, and reporting structures.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
Maintain documentation for system processes and configuration
Train end users and create documentation for Enhanced/ new Workday processes and functionalities.
Assess new functionality releases and coordinate testing and deployment with stakeholders
Monitor, respond to, and resolve request and incident tickets
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate end-to-end solution delivery.
Support data validation, test case creation, system testing, UAT, and production deployment.
Stay up to date on Workday’s roadmap and recommend process improvements based on new features. Monitor Workday releases and proactively assess impact on existing configurations, making recommendations and executing updates accordingly.
Work hours expected are primarily to align with business hours for the US Eastern time zone (ET), but will require coordination with employees in India and other time zones.
Some work is required during off-hours or weekends to limit system downtime for users or for issue resolution.
