The Role

You own how we find, attract, and move candidates through the hiring process. At this stage, every hire matters more than it ever will again. A weak hire costs more than a missed one. Your job is to make sure the right people get in and the wrong ones do not.

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across roles, from sourcing and screening to coordinating assessments, interviews, and offer communication

  • Source candidates actively and with intent, not just posting and waiting, using LinkedIn, communities, referrals, and direct outreach to build pipelines that convert

  • Screen candidates at the first stage, reviewing applications to filter for the signals that matter: clarity of thinking, ownership, and genuine fit

  • Maintain accurate hiring data, tracking pipeline status, conversion rates, and time-to-hire so decisions are made on real information

  • Build and improve the recruitment infrastructure as the team scales, including sourcing playbooks, screening criteria, and candidate communication templates

What This Actually Is

This is a founding team role. That means more than a title.

  • You are not filling seats. You are building the team that builds the company. The quality of your judgment at the screening stage has a direct and lasting impact

  • You will work across roles and functions simultaneously, switching context quickly and keeping multiple pipelines moving without dropping quality

  • Feedback is direct and unfiltered. You hear clearly when something is off and when it lands, and you are expected to handle both calmly

  • You will help shape how Alpha Drop hires before there is a mature TA function to lean on. That is the rare part of this role and the demanding part

If you want fixed lanes and a manager who checks in twice a week, this is the wrong room, and that is fine.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 6 months in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a people operations role, with experience managing multiple roles simultaneously

  • Able to source candidates actively and with judgment, identifying strong signals from a profile or application without defaulting to credential-matching

  • Strong written communicator who can represent the company well in every candidate-facing message, from outreach to offer

  • Organised with pipelines, trackers, and timelines, keeping everything visible and up-to-date without being reminded

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and decisions made on incomplete information, then refining from feedback and results

  • Genuinely interested in people, culture, and team building, not just filling roles. You want to shape how a high-standard company attracts and selects the people who build it
