User Research Interaction Design Prototyping Design Systems Typography & Color Product Strategy User Flow Mapping Interactive Logic Visual Hierarchy Wireframing Figma

Alpha Drop Ventures is building the standard layer for cultural commerce. At the center is DROPZ, the verified limited-edition drop platform. Around it sit the brands we build and own, like Cipher Noir, which set the bar for what credible culture-led product looks like. One ecosystem, one standard, many surfaces. We are pre-launch, raising, and moving fast with people who could be doing easier things somewhere else and chose this instead.

The Role

You own how the product feels to use. The website and app are where the brand becomes real for the people using it. Every screen either earns trust or quietly weakens it. There is no throwaway flow here.

  • Design the website and app end to end, with an obsessive focus on the person on the other side of the screen

  • Turn complex product logic into interfaces that feel simple, and obvious to use

  • Keep improving the experience continuously, finding friction in real flows and removing it before users have to point it out

  • Build and maintain a design system that holds quality and consistency across every surface as the product scales

  • Design with a clear sense of brand, so the product feels considered and premium rather than generic or templated

  • Move fast during launch periods, designing and reworking flows when inputs change, without letting craft or usability slip

What This Actually Is

This is a founding team role. That means more than a title.

  • You will not always get a clean brief. You make design decisions with incomplete context and refine from feedback and real usage without losing momentum

  • Your work ships to real people while the product is still being sharpened

  • Feedback is direct and unfiltered. You hear clearly when something is off and when it lands, and you are expected to handle both calmly

  • You will help define how the product feels before there is a mature design system to lean on. That is the rare part of this role and the demanding part

If you want fixed lanes and a manager who checks in twice a week, this is the wrong room, and that is fine.

How We Build And What Sets You Apart

We are here to build something, not make noise around something. We hold a high bar and we hold it together.

  • You see the friction before anyone reports it and fix the flow that quietly loses people

  • You design for the actual user, not for the portfolio shot. Clarity and usability come before decoration

  • You build things that outlast the task. Systems, components, and standards, not just screens

  • You partner with engineering early so designs are buildable and ship clean, not handed over and hoped for

  • No passive feedback, no dropped context, no low effort with an excuse attached

  • You explain your reasoning, take feedback seriously, and stay genuinely open to better ideas from the team

  • You protect the standard across every surface, because one broken flow in one corner of the product weakens trust in the whole thing

  • Going above and beyond is not about hours. It is about caring more precisely than the task requires, and designing like every interaction is part of how people decide to trust what we build

Who You Are

  • Minimum 12 months designing UI/UX for consumer-facing apps or websites, with a portfolio that shows real shipped work and clear thinking behind it

  • Strong product instincts. You design from how people actually behave and what they are trying to do, not from assumptions or trends

  • Fluent in modern design tools like Figma, including prototyping, components, and design systems

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast turnarounds, and decisions made on incomplete information, then refining from feedback and real usage

  • Genuinely curious about culture, identity, and how people experience products, not just making screens look good. You want to shape how people experience and trust what we build over time
